Co-op Introduces New Board Member

Illinois Rural Electric Cooperative welcomes Luke Fraley to its board of directors.

Fraley was chosen by a search committee of the board to fill the vacant seat for District 5– southern Pike and northern Calhoun Counties.

Fraley lives in Hardin, Illinois with his wife Kari and their four children. Fraley is a 2001 graduate of Southern Illinois University of Carbondale. He is employed with Farm Credit Illinois in Jerseyville as a Regional Manager.

“We were exceptionally fortunate to meet with five outstanding candidates for the position,” said Robert A. Brown, the cooperative’s board president. “We very much appreciate their participation, and we look forward to Luke Fraley’s service on the board.”

Outside of work, Fraley serves on the Calhoun Unit 40 school board, as well as a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and FFA Alumni Association.

Illinois Rural Electric Cooperative board members are responsible for the financial soundness of the $95 million cooperative and all of its policies. The board meets at least once monthly. Directors pursue continuing education provided by state and national cooperative associations and by cooperative banks.
