College Interns

This summer, the co-op welcomes a few returning interns and welcomes several new faces as well.

Gaining experience in a variety of roles within the co-op, these interns gain valuable, hands-on work experience and an opportunity to witness the inner-workings of a rural electric cooperative.

Kurtis Weber, son of Jim and Tammy Weber of Carrollton, is a Civil Engineering major at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. When asked his favorite part of his engineering internship, he replied, “I enjoy the opportunity to experience and learn many different jobs and processes that come together to provide power to rural homes.”

Jacqueline Bingham, daughter of Wayne and Kristine Bingham from Griggsville, is currently attending the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where she is on track for pre-physical therapy. She plans to pursue a doctorate physical therapy, and enjoys her internship where she is helping with the electronic filing of co-op records.
