Woodson Murrayville Remote Learning WiFi

Illinois Electric Cooperative has installed remote learning WiFi hotspots in Woodson and Murrayville.

The cooperative was approached by Jacksonville School District 117 after they recognized a need for students with limited access to broadband in the area.  “Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, access to broadband service has become essential.  Our students that don’t have internet access have become isolated from their teachers and classmates, making it difficult to continue their education.  We are pleased to be able to help those students by providing internet access through public WiFi hotspots,” said Randy Long, General Manager of Illinois Electric Cooperative. The WiFi hotspots are free of charge and located at the Woodson and Murrayville parks. Users are asked to practice social distancing and remain in their vehicles.
